Nitecore AP01: USB-C air pump weighs 22 grams and offers 2.8 kPa

Nitecore has announced the AP01 air pump which is powered via USB Type-C. Weighing just 22 grams, the AP01 is lighter and smaller than the 23-gram AP05C, which currently costs around $54.95. Measuring 41 mm in length and 31 mm in diameter, the AP01 air pump is much smaller than the older model, which measures 77 mm and 26 mm respectively. This makes the AP01 small enough to carry in a pocket or tuck away in a small accessory bag.
Furthermore, the inflation pressure has increased slightly from 2.7 kPa to 2.8 kPa. The AP01 can move 220 liters of air per minute, which is a slight improvement on the AP05C's 200 liters per minute. However, the new model is not a successor, as indicated by the product numbers. Instead, it appears to be an additional option within the air pump range.
Notably, the AP01 does not have its own battery and is instead powered directly via a power bank. Therefore, the lower weight and slightly higher performance come at the expense of the integrated battery offered by the other model. According to the technical specifications, the air pump can be used for up to 15 minutes at a time before a break is required.
When used with Nitecore's NB10000 power bank, the total runtime is approximately three hours. Nitecore also states that the pump can withstand drops from heights of up to 2 meters. Five adapters are included in the scope of delivery, allowing various items to be both inflated and deflated. Nitecore has not yet announced a price for the new AP01 model.
