Nintendo has announced a new music streaming app featuring classic tunes from Nintendo games. The Nintendo Music app is only available for Switch Online subscribers and is available on iOS and Android.

Nintendo has announced a new music streaming app exclusively for Switch Online members on iOS and Android. It lets them spin up classic Nintendo tunes from games such as Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Starfox 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Metroid Prime and more. Nintendo says they will add more music tracks from their franchises in the future.

The app features curated playlists and recommendations based on a user's Nintendo Switch play history. It also includes an option to hide soundtracks from games they haven't finished yet to avoid spoilers. Users can also download tracks and listen to them offline.

It can extend music tracks up to 60 minutes or seamlessly loop them. The app requires a Switch Online membership and a Nintendo account to work. At launch, the service is available in a limited number of regions, with Nintendo saying they might add more "at a later date".
