Nintendo Switch 2 gets new bundle before price increase

The Nintendo Switch 2 ($449 on Amazon) will become more expensive on September 1st, 2026 The recommended retail price will then increase from $449.99 to $499.99, i.e. by $50 or 11 percent. The reason for this is the production costs, which are increasing due to the DRAM crisis. Over the summer, however, the hybrid console can be bought even in stores.
To make the Nintendo Switch 2 more attractive until the price increase, Nintendo has now announced a new bundle. The so-called Choose Your Game Bundle comes with a regular Nintendo Switch 2 that comes with a download code. This can be redeemed for one of three Nintendo games, namely either the arcade racing game Mario Kart World, the 3D platformer Donkey Kong Bananza or the relaxed adventure Pokémon Pokopia. This bundle costs $499.
This bundle will only be available for a limited time. The Choose Your Game Bundle is only the third game bundle that Nintendo has launched for its latest console. At launch, the console was offered in a bundle with Mario Kart World, last fall a bundle with Pokémon Legends: Z-A followed. So far, Nintendo has refrained from adapting the design of the console for all bundles, as the company regularly did with the Nintendo 3DS.
