The expected console commonly known as the Nintendo Switch 2 has once again been named the Nintendo Focus by a would-be leaker who recently provided alleged release date and price details. This time around, there is a supposed logo for the next-generation Nintendo console along with some details about games, including Arms 2.

The same source who just offered up purported release date and price information for the Nintendo Switch 2 has made some new posts about the next-generation console. Once again, the claim is that the unit will actually be called Nintendo Focus (stylized as Nintendo FOCUS) and will not even feature the word “Switch”. The X resident also provided a supposed spy shot of the Nintendo FOCUS logo, which is posted below.

Of course, it is necessary to take this with a huge pinch of salt for multiple reasons, especially that such a mock-up could be very easily faked. Even if Nintendo FOCUS is true, it might not even pertain to a Switch successor/Switch 2, and it may be a service or peripheral that the company is working on. It can be argued that it would make sense for Nintendo to retain the “Switch” name with a successor, as it would give the console instant recognizability to buyers.

As well as doubling down on the Nintendo FOCUS name, the OP makes some claims about games heading toward the platform. Apparently, these will include a co-op 3D platformer called Relno, which will reportedly be a launch title, and F-Zero Titans that will supposedly restart the defunct F-Zero franchise (last title: F-Zero Climax in 2004). But arguably most exciting for gamers will be the claim that Arms 2 is headed to the Nintendo FOCUS/Switch 2/next-generation console.

Arms was released in 2017 and was quite the success for Nintendo, receiving generally positive reviews and selling over 2.7 million copies in all. There have been plenty of rumors over the years about a sequel to the futuristic fighting game but nothing substantial has appeared so far. Arms 2 could certainly be the sort of game that would give the NG Nintendo console a chance to flex its muscles and show off its "PS4-matching" capabilities, but the game won't arrive until 2025 according to the source.
