Ninkear unveils ultra-compact MBOX18 mini PC that weighs only 478 grams

Ninkear has just launched the MBOX18, an ultra-compact mini PC built powered by Intel’s Core 3 304, an entry-level, low-power CPU launched in April 2026 based on Intel's "Wildcat Lake" architecture. The five-core, five-thread chip reaches up to 4.3GHz and has a 15W TDP, alongside an integrated Intel Xe3 Graphics (1 Xe-core) with a dynamic frequency up to 2.3 GHz and an NPU that provides up to 15 TOPS for AI tasks. 

In short, the mini PC is intended for everyday workloads such as office applications, web browsing, video calls or media playback rather than gaming or heavy computing. But its size is an advantage: it measures 116x107x36mm and weighs 478 grams, giving it a 0.36-liter footprint. Its aluminium-alloy chassis can be mounted on any suitable surface using the included VESA mounting support.

Connectivity is also another selling point: The mini PC can operate three independent displays via two HDMI outputs and USB4, with support for up to 4K at 120Hz or 8K at 60Hz. The USB4 port supports transfers of up to 40Gbps, while three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a USB 2.0 port, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and a 3.5mm audio jack provide additional connectivity.

Now available for purchase directly via Ninkear for €429 (approx. $488), the standard configuration combines 12GB of soldered LPDDR5 RAM with a 512GB PCIe SSD. The latter can be expanded via two additional M.2 slots. Windows 11 and WPS Office are pre-installed. Free global shipping is available, with buyers able to add a free USB-C docking station and laptop bag upon checkout. The GMKtec M6 Ultra is a stronger alternative for around the same price, but weighs a little more at over 500 grams.
