Nifty DLSS Swapper tool makes it easy for users to swap between the latest DLSS 2.0 libraries in games that have yet to be updated
A new tool by developer @beeradmore makes swapping DLSS libraries a significantly easier and safer process. Redditors discovered that NVIDIA’s DLSS libraries are user-swappable. This meant that games using older versions of the AI upscaling solution, but which hadn’t yet been updated, could benefit from a boost to performance and image quality.
TechPowerUp compiled all DLSS libraries in a single repository. However, swapping DLSS files was still a time-intensive manual process with the potential for user error. This is where @beeradmore’s aptly named “DLSS Swapper” comes into the picture. The tool features a simple GUI interface with a list of DLSS-enabled games currently installed. After clicking on a game here, users can select the DLSS version they want to upgrade or rollback to. The tool is plugged into TechPowerUp’s database. It automatically downloads the requisite libraries and replaces the existing DLSS files. You can check out DLSS Swapper on Github here.
DLSS works best with top-tier RTX 30 series cards. Take a look here on Amazon for GeForce RTX 3080 Ti pricing and availability.
