Citizen has announced a new limited model to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its sub-brand, The Citizen. The AQ4100-57C is a light-powered watch with a high level of accuracy annually, set for release later in 2025.
The Citizen’s AQ4100-57C is powered by a Cal A060 Eco-Drive movement, which should run for 18 months on a full charge when in power save mode. According to the company, it should remain accurate to within five seconds each year. It also features a perpetual calendar, automatically adjusting at the end of the month, running until February 2100. Other functions include automatic hand correction, an independently adjustable hour hand and a basic date display.
The AQ4100-57C has an ivory colored dial with an abstract pattern and metallic finish. This is covered by dual sphere glass, with Super Titanium casing and bracelet. The silver colored case measures 38.3 x 12.2 mm (~1.5 x 0.5 inches) and has been treated with Duratect Platinum, while the strap features a mixture of brushed and mirror-polished surfaces.
The Citizen AQ4100-57C Eco-Drive model will retail for $3,100 in the US and ¥ 440,000 in Japan. It is expected to be released in various markets worldwide on November 13th, with only 500 units available globally. The company also recently announced the NC0201-54A, another model celebrating the brand’s 30th anniversary.
