New RingConn smart ring launches with 14-day battery; blood pressure tracking arriving later

RingConn has launched its new Samsung Galaxy Ring competitor, the Gen 3 smart ring. It's currently available to pre-order at a discounted price and is available in five different color options.
The starting retail price is $349, which makes it slightly more expensive than what the Galaxy Ring goes for when it's discounted (curr. $299.99 on Amazon). However, with the pre-order discount in place, the RingConn Gen 3 currently starts at $314, and two premium color options cost $332 instead of $369. This promotion will be available until May 28, 2026.
A major highlight of the RingConn Gen 3 is that it comes with a vibration module, which can offer haptic feedback. The company explains that this feature allows the smart ring to offer health alerts, reminders, and low battery warnings. Weirdly, the vibrating feature can't alert you to missed app, message, or alarm notifications.
Another notable highlight of the smart ring is that it can offer blood pressure insights, which is, of course, currently not available on the RingConn Gen 3. The company says that the feature will be added with an upcoming software update, but it's worth noting that the blood pressure monitoring perk isn't a proper replacement for medical devices.
As RingConn explains, it's intended to identify key patterns and changes that might warrant a visit to the healthcare provider. With other tracking features, including sleep apnea insights, the smart ring aims to deliver a detailed insight into the important health metrics. It's worth noting that there are no subscription fees for the health monitoring perks, but the wearable has 10 days of offline data storage duration.
Weighing between 2.5 grams and 3.5 grams, this smart ring can offer up to 14 days of battery life with the vibration turned off. To compare, the Galaxy Ring is rated for up to 7 days of runtime, and it weighs between 2.3 grams and 3.2 grams. RingConn offers the Gen 3 in sizes 6 to 15, and the wearable has a companion app for iOS and Android.
