Huawei is reportedly rolling out a new global update for the Watch Fit 4 Pro smartwatch. This wearable was launched in May 2025 as a rival to the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Now, it is receiving software version 5.1.0.118(SP5C00M01), a 49.20MB update.
The release notes for this Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro release state that the Heart Rate (HR) app can now be used to measure heart rate variation (HRV). The smartwatch was marketed with HRV as a feature, though users quickly noted that the tool was not working correctly. Following this update, the HRV measurement is viewable in real-time in the HR app on your watch. There are also said to be measurement animations and a detailed log tracking your heart rate and a recovery heart rate following a workout, viewable in the Huawei Health app.
Huawei also indicates that version 5.1.0.118 brings an enhanced user interface (UI) for the Heart Rate app with more information. On top of this, the update is said to be system stability optimizations “in certain situations”, though no further details are provided.
Software version 5.1.0.118 appears to be rolling out in phases to users of the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro (curr. €279 at Amazon.de). So far, it has been reported by users in some Asian and European countries. When it is available in your region, you will be able to download the update via the Huawei Health app.
