New Casio G-Shock x Stranger Things collab watch reportedly coming this year
Casio is reportedly teaming up with Netflix once again for a new Stranger Things-themed watch. The first model, which arrived in 2023, was based on the retro A120WE and featured a multi-color theme in a nod to the Upside Down. The upcoming watch is said to be based on the rugged G-Shock DW-5600UE and could hit the market before the end of the year, reports Great G-Shock World.
Not much is known about this upcoming collab model at this point, and there are no leaked renders making the rounds just yet. For reference, the first Casio x Stranger Things collab watch artfully blended the colorful Casio designs of the 1980 era with elements evoking the mysterious alternate dimension depicted in the show. If Casio follows the same playbook, we can expect a mix of nostalgic design cues from the first 5000 series with Stranger Things–inspired flourishes.
Great G-Shock World is confident that the watch will be based on the classic DW-5600UE, and if that’s true, we can expect a durable build with a resin case, 200-meter water resistance, up to 5 years of battery life, along with the usual time-keeping features. The main draw will likely be in the Stranger Things-inspired details, whether that’s themed buttons, custom dial graphics, or engravings on the case. And, as we’ve seen with previous G-Shock collabs, the watch will most certainly arrive in special packaging designed to match the show’s aesthetic.
While the report doesn't mention anything about pricing or launch date, there will likely be more leaks of the G-Shock x Stranger Things watch leading up to its official launch.
