New Citizen metal square-faced watch with interchangeable straps launches

The Citizen xC Hikari Collection Square 2way ES9500-51A watch has been unveiled in Japan. This square-faced timepiece is described by the brand as lightweight, and it comes with two “easily interchangeable bands”.
Citizen’s ES9500-51A watch has a sparkling white/silver sunray dial, featuring a combination of brown Roman numerals and angular golden indexes. This is surrounded by a Super Titanium casing, finished with silver tone Duratect Platinum, measuring 25 mm (~0.98 inches) wide and 7.8 mm (~0.31 inches) thick. The watch is accompanied by a matching titanium band, which can be adjusted in length and a plant-based leather strap.
The ES9500-51A uses the H060 caliber, with Eco-Drive technology allowing it to be powered by any light source. This is a radio-controlled model, for automatic time and calendar adjustments, which will work in Japan, China, Europe and America. Other features of this three-hand analog watch include a basic date display, a battery level indicator and a power saving mode.
In Japan, the Citizen xC Hikari Collection Square 2way ES9500-51A watch will be released on May 14th. It is set to retail for ¥113,300 (~$706) in this market. Whether or when it could arrive in other markets remains to be seen.
