Every summer, Casio drops a playful yet purpose-driven watch for its G-Shock line: the "Love the Sea and the Earth" that raises awareness for marine conservation in partnership with ICERC Japan. For 2025, the company is reportedly going back into fan-favorite territory with the newly revealed GW-6905K-7AJR.
Leaked marketing info shared by Japanese blog Great G-Shock World lists an August 2025 launch window for the watch. The model number itself has a clue pointing towards its appearance: the "-7" suffix generally signals a white case. Text on the slide also indicates that the band may adopt a contrasting color scheme, which would lead to a sportier two-tone aesthetic compared to last year’s monochrome designs.
Under the marine-themed exterior lies the same spec sheet that has attracted buyers towards the GW-6900 series in the past - apart from its durability and solar-powered functionality. As part of the Tough Solar lineup, it supports Casio’s Multiband 6 radio sync system, giving it access to time calibration signals in Japan, China, the US, UK, and Germany. Other expected features include 20-bar water resistance, world time for 48 cities, multiple alarms, a stopwatch, countdown timer, and backlight with afterglow.
No pricing or global availability has been revealed yet, but more details should surface in the coming weeks.
