The Casio Pro Trek PRW-B1000-1 watch has been listed at Amazon US. This is a new model which has yet to be officially announced by the brand. The watch is described as having a rugged design, with an octagonal stainless steel bezel, black bio-resin casing, and the dial protected by a sapphire crystal dial. The watch measures 49.6 x 14.8 mm (~2.0 x 0.6 inches), accompanied by a black flame-resistant Cordura band.
The Amazon product listing confirms that this is a radio-controlled watch with Multi-Band 6 for atomic time calibration. This analog-digital watch supports world time, with users offered a list of 55 cities, and the date and weekday are shown on a small inset digital display. The calendar is fully automatic, and the watch also has a daily alarm. Plus, the Bluetooth logo on the dial suggests that you will be able to connect the watch to your phone for further settings and features through the Casio Watches app.
Tough Solar charging is said to extend the battery life beyond six months, while power saving mode can extend this further up to 25 months. The Super Illuminator backlight helps you to read the watch in low lighting. On top of this, the watch is water resistant to 100 m.
At Amazon US, the Casio Pro Trek PRW-B1000-1, or PRW-B1000-1CR, is currently available to pre-order for $580. It is unclear if this is the RRP; this would make it the most expensive Pro Trek model available in the US. This title currently belongs to the PRW6900YB-3, priced at $520, which has similar features and materials but does not offer Bluetooth connectivity. The page states that it will be released on July 1st, though it is unclear whether this is a global or regional launch date.
