New affordable Casio W-218H watches now available to buy in the US with a sub-$25 price tag and 7-year battery life
Casio has officially released two new variants in its long-running W-218H digital watch lineup in the US: the W218H-3BV and W218H-8BV. Both models are now listed on the brand’s US online store for $22.95 each - making them affordable daily drivers with classic styling and solid specs.
These new watches stick to the same core formula that’s made the W-218H series popular - simple digital timekeeping, a tough resin build, and excellent battery life. The design centers around a sporty silhouette, featuring a square case with a dark display and light figures. The 3BV comes in a matte dark green tone, while the 8BV sports a more neutral mint-gray look.
Each model measures 44.4 x 43.2 x 10.8 mm and weighs just 37 grams. The case, bezel, and band are all made of resin, and the glass is resin too. Despite the low price, the watches are rated for 50 meters of water resistance, more than enough for swimming and splashes but definitely not suited for diving.
Inside, the W-218H watches have standard digital features such as a 1/100-second stopwatch with split time and dual-place readings, a daily alarm, hourly time signal, and a fully automatic calendar. Users can toggle between 12- and 24-hour formats. An amber LED backlight takes care of nighttime visibility, and timekeeping accuracy is listed at ±30 seconds per month. The watches run on a CR2016 battery rated for around seven years of life.
Both models have now made it to the US market following earlier European launches in May 2025. With a retail tag of under $25, they’re entering the market as one of Casio’s most accessible digital offerings. US availability is confirmed via the official Casio store, with no regional restrictions.
