Casio’s upcoming full-metal GMW-BZ5000D could retail between ¥100,000–¥130,000 (~$630 to $820), new leaks suggest. A refined triple-layer structure and premium metal build will be its strongest selling points when it first launches.

Another batch of fresh updates regarding Casio's awaited GMW-BZ5000D full metal G-Shock have surfaced, and this time, the focus is on expected pricing and internal construction. The new model, which has already generated a fair amount of buzz for its unique design language and updated LCD, is now reported to be priced between ¥100,000 and ¥130,000 (~$630 to $820), making it as a premium successor to the GMW-B5000D.

This pricing estimate was shared by sources monitoring leaks from Japanese G-Shock insiders, and it further cements the BZ5000D's place in Casio’s high-end lineup. The model is shaping up to be not just another variation of the fan-favorite square series, but a technically evolved model with a new construction approach altogether.

New documentation also sheds some light on the adoption of what Casio appears to call a "Triple Layer Structure" - a redesigned internal frame that separates the metal bezel, cushion, and case more distinctly than previous models. It's pretty similar to the GMW-B5000D’s original layout but the refined middle frame and core guard structure is a new element.

The featured model, the GMW-BZ5000BD-1, adorns a black IP finish with gold-toned accents around the bezel screws and LCD border. It's quite a bold shift from earlier full-metal square models and has drawn early comparisons to luxury watch designs in terms of appearance.

While an official release date is still pending, the upgraded internal build and pricing is a strong indicator that Casio will market the BZ5000D as a flagship within the metal G-Shock family. We recently saw the watch via international store listings as well. Multiple colorways are still expected and considering the huge interest for the watch even before its official launch, the BZ5000D line may end up being Casio’s biggest square-case release of the year.

Meanwhile, you can check out the Casio G-Shock GWM5610-1 - now only $104 on Amazon.
