Casio's Pro Trek line turns 30 with two new commemorative models - now seen in first IRL shots: analog‑digital PRW‑61ANS‑3 and digital PRG‑340ANS‑3, both forest‑green with gold accents, bio‑resin builds, Triple Sensor, and Tough Solar.

Casio’s 30th‑anniversary Pro Trek duo moved from leak to launch earlier this month, and the first hands‑on photos back up the details quite well. Both the analog‑digital PRW‑61ANS‑3 and the full‑digital PRG‑340ANS‑3 come in a forest‑green and gold palette to go with Pro Trek's "One with Nature" theme, with commemorative touches across the case, strap and packaging. The watches have been slated for a November release in Japan at ¥69,500 (~$453) for the PRW‑61ANS‑3 and ¥38,500 (~$251) for the PRG‑340ANS‑3.

The IRL images show Casio's execution more than renders ever could. On the PRG‑340ANS‑3, the duplex LCD is clearly visible: compass graphics float on an upper layer while the main readout sits beneath, and the direction bezel’s gold N‑E‑S‑W marks are in line with the minute hash ring. The matte green case contrasts nicely with the semi‑gloss black sensor bumpers, and gold‑tone screw heads and button caps match the bezel accents without oversaturating the dial too much - a tricky balance in digital tool watches that often fall victim to clutter. The PRW‑61ANS‑3 has a vapor‑deposition dial finish that throws soft highlights under the lighting in the images. Applied indices and gold handset tips look crisp too, and the framed digital window sits cleanly at 6, to likely avoid the cut‑off numerals. Across both watches, the olive straps look slightly darker than press art, which might throw off some fans.

Functionally, the pair is as Pro Trek as it gets. The PRW‑61ANS‑3 gets Multiband 6 radio time sync alongside the usual Triple Sensor, alongside Tough Solar and 100‑meter water resistance; the PRG‑340ANS‑3 has the same sensor set, keeps Tough Solar, and gets a duplex LCD for readability in compass and altitude modes, also rated to 100 meters and −10 °C operation. Off first glance, the PRW‑61ANS‑3 looks like the more dressier, radio‑synced option, while the PRG‑340ANS‑3 provides the classic digital tool feel at a lower ticket with the same commemorative treatment. For collectors, the caseback engraving, special box, and the strap’s model‑number timeline should be a big USP. These watches - especially the PRW-61ANS model - are expected to sell out shortly after launch.
