Casio has released a new product for proud G-Shock owners who want to display their prized collections. The line of modular watch stands may soon come to the US after appearing in some Asian markets. The company has quietly added it to its US website, meaning a state-side launch may be imminent.
Collector accessories spotted on Casio’s US site
The new item is now showing up on casio.com/us, allowing fans to see it in detail, but there are no descriptions yet, and it is not available for order. The situation is similar in the Philippines, suggesting a coordinated, wider launch. However, Filipino shoppers can already see the item pages.
In Singapore and Taiwan, the G-Shock Deluxe Display Case is available for order at S$450 and NT$10,500, respectively. Shoppers can also purchase the G-Shock Stacking Watch Stand for S$100 and NT$2,500 apiece, respectively. The Portable Watch Stand is only available for order in Taiwan for NT$1,100.
Designed for collectors and display enthusiasts
The Display Case is designed to accommodate up to 10 watches, and the content can be admired through the transparent cover. It has a stand that allows it to be set at a 60-degree angle. Casio is paying tribute to the original DW-5000C with the case’s interior soft-cushioning fabric, featuring the texture of a brick wall.
When to expect the G-Shock collector display case in the US?
It is safe to assume that Casio will launch the display case in the US soon, since it has appeared on the website. In addition, the company would be smart to target the upcoming holiday season, when the cases would make excellent gifts for friends and family who collect G-Shock watches.
