The Casio AEQ120W-1BV and AEQ120W-7AV watches have been released in the US. These are standard watches with a rugged design, featuring a durable, oversized resin case measuring 53.3 x 52.2 x 16.8 mm (~2.10 x 2.06 x 0.67 inches).
The AEQ120W, or AEQ-120W, watches have a round analog display surrounded by a large bezel. Two inset digital displays show the day of the week and the date, with a fully automatic calendar up to the year 2099. These watches support world time, with 29 time zones on offer and the ability to toggle daylight savings time on or off. Other features include a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer and three daily alarms, one of which can be snoozed. Another more unusual tool is Telememo, which allows users to store contact information, including an eight-character name and a phone number, for up to 30 people.
Casio’s AEQ120W watches are waterproof to 100 m (~330 ft) and are expected to run for 10 years on a CR2025 battery. The only difference between the two watches is their colors. The AEQ120W-1BV has a black resin casing and strap and a dark gray watch face. Here, the digital displays have a black background with lighter figures. The AEQ120W-7AV has the same black resin casing but with a lighter gray/green dial and typical light background digital displays.
You can now buy the Casio AEQ120W-1BV and AEQ120W-7AV watches at the brand’s online store, each priced at $42.95. It is worth noting that the product listings indicate that limited stock is available, though an exact number of units is not provided. They are also listed at the brand’s Amazon storefront, but they are currently out of stock here and have a significantly higher price of $86.50. Whether or when these watches will officially launch in Europe remains to be seen.
