FriendlyElec has added to its NanoPC-T6 series with a newer alternative to the NanoPC-T6 and NanoPC-T6 LTS (curr. $149.99 on Amazon) that debuted during 2023 and 2024, respectively. Now, the company has delivered the NanoPC-T6 Plus, which surpasses its predecessors with extra RAM more than anything else.
Specifically, FriendlyElec advertises the NanoPC-T6 Plus with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Not only does is this twice as much RAM as the NanoPC-T6 or NanoPC-T6 LTS, but it is also of the faster LPDDR5 variety rather than the slower LPDDR4X equivalent found in existing NanoPC-T6 series single-board computers (SBCs). With that being said, the NanoPC-T6 Plus retains Rockchip RK3588, which provides it with four Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 CPU cores plus a Mali-G610 MP4 GPU.
Also, the NanoPC-T6 Plus features an M.2 Key-B slot for adding 4G LTE connectivity and two analogue microphones rather than the one inside the NanoPC-T6 or NanoPC-T6 LTS. Moreover, FriendlyElec has added a 3-pin UART (3.3V) connector, with the M.2 Key-B slot taking up the space occupied by a 10-pin UART and USB 2.0 headers on the NanoPC-T6 LTS.
The NanoPC-T6 Plus currently retails for $199 with 16 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC flash storage. Please note that this price is before duties and taxes. Also, FriendlyElec sells a metal enclosure as a $22 add-on. For reference, FriendlyElec provides compatibility for operating systems like Android 14, Debian, Ubuntu and its FriendlyWrt fork of OpenWrt.
