A new and compact alternative to the Raspberry Pi is now available. The Radxa Cubie A7S can be purchased from AliExpress for around $44, plus shipping, while Araca Tech lists the model for around $25. For the latter price, customers receive the single-board computer with only 4 GB of RAM; the model is also listed with 8 or 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. 256 GB of eMMC storage is optionally available. As is standard for a single-board computer, a microSD card slot is included, allowing for easy installation of the operating system.

The SoC is an Allwinner A733, which combines two Cortex-A76 cores with six A55 cores. The specified NPU performance is 3 TOPS. Image output is straightforward, though not via HDMI, but rather via USB-C, which supports DisplayPort and 4K resolution at up to 60 frames per second. The Cubie A7S can also receive video signals via MIPI CSI, primarily from specialized cameras, allowing for automated image analysis. Network connectivity is available via Gigabit Ethernet and WiFi 6. Bluetooth 5.4 is also supported, enabling easy connection of devices such as a keyboard and mouse.

Power is also supplied via USB-C, with USB 2.0 and USB OPT also supported. Furthermore, a total of 45 GPIO headers are available, and the 51 x 51 mm board features an FPC connector with a PCIe 3.0 interface (one lane), allowing for the connection of NVMe SSDs.
