K1 Pro is a fast Raspberry Pi 5 alternative with two NVMe SSD slots and up to 8GB RAM

The Bit-Brick K1 Pro is a new single-board computer that is not limited to hooking up sensors and actuators thanks to various connectivity options. Specifically, the 3.54 x 3.15-inch board also sports multiple M.2 slots, two Key-M and one Key-E to be more exact. These slots can accommodate both M.2-2280 SSD and WiFi cards. That said, the SBC doesn’t support WiFi or Bluetooth from the factory. Alternatively, wired networks can be accessed via Gigabit Ethernet.
Displays and monitors can be connected via HDMI 2.1, which supports 4K at 120Hz, and there is also MIPI-DSI. This connection type is likely less relevant for most consumers, but it is well known in the maker community. The same applies to MIPI-CSI, which is an interface for cameras. Depending on the use case, image content can also be evaluated directly via AI. The integrated RK3576 SoC has eight Cortex-A72 CPU cores and an NPU rated at 6 TOPS (INT8). Meanwhile, the LPDDR4X memory has between 4GB and 8GB of capacity, and the onboard eMMC storage ranges from 32GB to 64GB.
External storage can be connected via USB 3.0, and there is also USB 2.0 for connecting accessories and input devices. The USB-C port is used to power the Raspberry Pi 5 alternative. The SBC further offers a 40-pin GPIO header and the Bit-Brick K1 Pro can be used at ambient temperatures between -40° and 185°F. The single-board computer is now available on AliExpress for prices starting around $160, but shipping and potential import fees might apply. Buyers also should also be aware that warranty rights might not be enforceable in practice.
