AMD is yet to officially release the Radeon RX 5600 XT, having announced it at CES 2020. However, NVIDIA has already responded to AMD's upcoming US$279 card by dropping the price of its GeForce RTX 2060. EVGA has just released the US$299 RTX 2060 KO, a price that NVIDIA has now matched for its Founders Edition card.
The US$50 cut from its US$349 MSRP represents a 14% reduction, a healthy saving. Videocardz notes that RTX 2060 SKUs have been as low as US$320 since at least December though, so the price cut only makes the Founders Edition US$20 or so cheaper than its add-in board (AIB) counterparts.
It remains to be seen whether AIBs will follow suit and reduce their RTX 2060 stock, though. Alternatively, NVIDIA could be selling off excess RTX 2060 Founders Edition stock, as the company has already marked the card out of stock in the UK. At the time of writing, NVIDIA is limiting the RTX 2060 Founders Edition to two units per person in the US, too.
