NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Ti Founders Edition renders leak of engineering sample with minor design changes from Ampere cards
Moore's Law is Dead (MLID) claims to have received renders of the RTX 4090 Ti Founders Edition, building on hands-on images that leaked last month of the RTX 4090 Founders Edition. According to the leaker, the RTX 4090 Ti Founders Edition will be a 3 or 3.25-slot graphics card, potentially making it larger than the outgoing RTX 3090 and RTX 3090 Ti Founders Editions. Unfortunately, MLID has not provided exact measurements of the RTX 4090 Ti Founders Edition.
Allegedly, MLID's renders are of an engineering sample. Incidentally, he adds that the RTX 4090 Ti Founders Edition could match its predecessor in terms of size. However, he speculates that the graphics card would need to utilise 100% fan speeds during testing if that were the case. Potentially, this engineering sample could be 'thrown together' and not a representation of what the Founders Edition actually looks like. In saying that, the design shown matches hands-on photos that we have reported on previously.
Separately, MLID believes that NVIDIA will have stock of Lovelace GPUs in October. Ultimately, concrete specifications for the RTX 4090 Ti have not leaked yet. Reputedly, the RTX 4090 will have over 16,384 CUDA cores at its disposal, with 24 GB of GDDR6X VRAM in tow running at 21 Gbps on a 384-bit bandwidth. While MLID mentions that the RTX 4090 Ti will have up to a 600 W TGP, there have been suggestions of power usage anywhere up to 800 W. Currently, NVIDIA is expected to announce the Lovelace architecture and RTX 4000 series in August or September.
