A new Titan graphics card from Nvidia could be incoming, according to a GPU codename shared by a well-known leaker. The GeForce RTX 40 series, or “Lovelace” family, is already expected to feature a powerful RTX 4090 Ti SKU in its lineup, but now it seems Nvidia has something even more special planned for its AD102 chip.

It appears Nvidia might be preparing to add a monstrous Titan graphics card to its upcoming Lovelace architecture-based GeForce RTX 40 series. The tipster kopite7kimi has shared a new GPU codename that indicates this is what is on the cards. The relevant tweet from the leaker reads “Although I don’t know your name, I know you there, beast” followed by the chip codename AD102-450-A1.

There are currently three AD102 Lovelace graphics cards expected in the forms of the GeForce RTX 4080 Ti, RTX 4090, and RTX 4090 Ti. However, these boards already have their specific chip codenames: AD102-225-A1, AD102-300-A1, and AD102-400-A1, respectively. With a commenter pointing out that the Nvidia Titan Xp also had “102-450” as part of its chip codename, it can be seen why this latest leak points to a new Titan card.

Nvidia released the Titan RTX in 2018 with a TDP of 280 W, 4,608 CUDA cores, and a boost clock of 1,770 MHz. In contrast, the RTX 4090 Ti is rumored to sport 18,432 CUDA cores and boost up to a rate of 2,625 MHz. A potential Nvidia Lovelace Titan card, with the ability to utilize an up to 800 W power limit, could manage to break the 3,000 MHz mark and offer almost unimaginable 4K gaming performance for those with the money to afford one.
