My Arcade’s Sega mini-arcade cabinets were teased a year ago, with the company going silent after that. Fortunately, that has changed: the Califronia-based brand has announced that its Sega mini-arcades are launching this year, starting with OutRun, alongside the original arcade version, OutRunners.
Further mini-arcade systems coming this year include a Sonic unit, featuring Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic Spinball, and Sonic 3D Blast. A Shinobi unit will also arrive, containing the original Shinobi arcade game; the Sega Genesis titles The Revenge of Shinobi and Shinobi III; as well as Shadow Dancer.
Complementing the lineup is a Streets of Rage unit with the first two games and a Golden Axe unit featuring the complete Sega Genesis trilogy. My Arcade confirmed these details during its CES 2026 debut, with shipments scheduled to begin in April.
My Arcade made this announcement on the CES show floor in Las Vegas, where retro gamers and attendees got their first glimpse of these mini-cabinets. My Arcade’s mini-cabinets were teased initially in December 2024, just before Christmas.
However, the project disappeared without a trace for nearly a year, and many retro fans wondered if My Arcade’s mini-cabinets were mere empty promises. As reported by GenXGrownUp on YouTube, My Arcade is back in the spotlight, and it’s pushing ahead with its Sega lineup first and foremost.
The OutRun mini-arcade unit features a mini built-in steering wheel and a 3.5-inch screen, giving you a bite-sized feel of the 1986 arcade racer while also including the 1993 sequel OutRunners, which, to this day, has never seen a proper home console release. This mini-arcade cabinet is priced at a reasonable $49.99.
Sonic fans will be pleased to know that My Arcade is releasing a complete four-game “Mighty Player” version for $119.99 and a slimmed-down two-game “Joystick Player” variant featuring just Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 for $59.99.
The Sonic mini-arcade cabinets are already available for purchase on My Arcade’s website, making them the first in the lineup to hit shelves. In contrast, the others are scheduled for a rollout in April 2026.
Unfortunately, Streets of Rage fans might notice a trim-down, as they’ll only get to enjoy the first two games in the franchise, probably due to licensing issues.
