Xiaomi's next-gen flagship phone, the Mi 10, was announced a few weeks ago but not much was revealed about the phone. A new report has done just that, however, and expectant fans will be pleased with the image of the phone painted so far.

Xiaomi officially announced the Mi 10 at Qualcomm's launch event for the Snapdragon 865 a few weeks ago. Of course, all the announcement did was confirm the planned release of Mi 10 next year, and the fact that the phone will feature the Snapdragon 865. Actual information on the phones has been a lot less defined but things are starting to clear up.

According to a new leak, the Mi 10 will sport a massive battery. The source estimates the flagship's battery to have a capacity in the region of 4500 mAh to 4800 mAh. That's a big jump from the Mi 9's 3300 mAh unit, and it's a jump Xiaomi fans are sure to welcome.

A massive increase in battery size makes sense too. The Mi 10 is expected to feature a high-refresh display and 5G, both of which increase power draw. The Redmi K30 was the first Xiaomi phone to have such a display, with its 120 Hz LCD panel. Xiaomi has stuck to AMOLED panels on its recent flagships and we expect the Mi 10 to continue that trend. A 90 Hz AMOLED display would be a nice touch.

With big batteries come faster charging, so it's no surprise that the Mi 10 has been touted to feature class-leading fast-charge abilities. A 66W figure has been thrown around. We're not sure how true that could be but the Mi Note 10's 30 W fast-charge already does excellently, charging the phone's 5260 mAh battery full in an hour.
