Microsoft: Surface Phone might not come before 2018
Don't wait for the Surface Phone, it might take longer than expect. According to new rumors directly from the source, the Surface Phone will not be released until late 2017 at the earliest.
It might take quite a while until Microsoft will release another phone after the alleged end of Lumia production this December. According to anonymous internal sources at Microsoft, the Surface Phone that Microsoft is apparently working on, will not be released this year and might in fact take much longer than expected. It will probably not be available until late 2017 and might even be delayed until 2018.
Panos Panay, head of the Surface division at Microsoft, who managed to make the Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Book a success is directly responsible for the project. He and his team are working on a high-end phone that is supposed to offer exciting new features. There will be another Microsoft event coming up on October 26th but according to rumors, no phone will be presented during this event. Instead Microsoft will focus on a Surface All-in-One desktop and on software during that event.
