Xiaomi has its lovers and haters, but fans of the company love the fact that there is always innovation, surprise, marketing trickery, and a whole truckload of smoke and mirrors when it comes to future smartphone releases from this particular manufacturer. The Chinese firm has reportedly been busy with MIUI 11, the Mi Mix 4, and likely the Mi 10 flagship smartphone series – with the latter perhaps inspiring this latest rumor.
A photograph (see below) of a black box with “Note 10” and “Mi Note 10” stylishly embossed on the front and side, respectively, has sparked speculation that Xiaomi will be sneaking in yet another device into its already packed lineup. The last Xiaomi Mi Note phablet was the Mi Note 3 that was released in 2017. So, it appears that the Chinese manufacturer has conjured up a Mi Note 10 to catch up with rivals like Samsung (in regard to numbering, at least) and to happily coincide with the future Xiaomi Mi 10 smartphone family.
Unsurprisingly, a pretty box with nothing more than two model name labels on it leaves no information about the possible specifications. There have been hushed whispers that the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 could sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC and even feature a display that offers users 90 Hz or even 120 Hz of refresh-rate enjoyment. Whilst we’re at it, why don’t we also toss in rumors of a 5x zoom telephoto camera and a handy 50x digital zoom if required into the (Mi) mix?
It’s all speculation, and the box could be fake – the image hasn’t been garnering much of a trust score on the SlashLeaks website. But there is some available evidence for the possibility of a Xiaomi Mi Note 10 phablet being prepared to take the smartphone world by storm: Famed leaker Ice universe commented that Xiaomi was going to resurrect the Note series and chug out a Mi Note 10 flagship at the end of this month. So we could all be in for a terrific surprise and there will be no need to mourn the non-existence of the Xiaomi Mi Notes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
Xiaomi will restart the Note series smartphone, and will release the Xiaomi Mi Note10 flagship mobile phone at the end of October.
