Mi Mix 4 leaks ahead of next week's anticipated launch
Rumor has it that Xiaomi will launch the Mi Mix 4 next week, specifically on October 24. Moreover, a photo purporting to be the much speculated- about device has appeared online too. If you have not been following the confusion around the Mi Mix 4, then Xiaomi's Brand Promotion Manager in China recently backtracked on his claim that no such device would make it to market. This followed renowned leaker Ice Universe stating that a Mi Mix 4 was on the cards.
According to Gizchina, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+, 8 GB of RAM and triple rear-facing cameras are "strong possibilties" to feature in the rumored device. These would be fairly standard specifications for a 2019 flagship Xiaomi smartphone, though. Since the website does not offer any sources to validate its assertion, we suspect that this is a wish list rather than anything concrete.
The website also claims that Xiaomi will launch the Mi Mix 4 alongside the Mi Note 10. While it provides no sources to corroborate this, the rumor appears to have originated from Ice Universe. In a tweet on October 11, the tipster claimed that Xiaomi will "release the Xiaomi Mi Note10 flagship mobile phone at the end of October". This contradicts Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, who stated in July that the company had no plans for a new Note this year.
Meanwhile, the photo posted on Slashleaks currently has a 25% trust rating on the website, with some people already outing it as a fake. What do you think, does Xiaomi have a new Mi Mix device in the pipeline like the one below?
