Meizu announced yet another entry level phone yesterday. The M5 is a 5.2 inch smartphone featuring 720p resolution and shares many features with its smaller sibling, the M3s which was released earlier this year. Like the M3s the M5 features a MediaTek MT6750 processor, with either 2 or 3 GB of RAM and 16 or 32 GB of on-board storage. The Dual-SIM phone has a 13 megapixel camera on the back, that Meizu says, focuses in just 0.2 seconds thanks to its quick Phase Detection Autofocus and features an aperture of F/2.2. The front has a 5 megapixel camera with an F/2.0 aperture as wells as a fingerprint sensor.
Thanks to its 3,070 mAh battery, the M5 is expected to offer long battery life. There is Dual-Band WiFi but only up to 802.11n according to the specsheet. Bluetooth 4.0 is integrated, as is LTE but Meizu has not specified the LTE bands the phone supports. The plastic cover is available in 5 different color options, for instance in dark blue or light turquoise. The smaller version with 2 GB of RAM And 16 GB of storage will be sold for $103, the larger one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage can be yours for $133. It should be available all over China starting November 7th and can be ordered before that date on Meizu's online mal as well as on Lynx and Suning exclusively.
