Model: The MSI GP72 6QF Leopard Pro-614IT M is a gaming laptop which is top of the range from the well-kept design that is built with quality materials. The design of MSI GP72 6QF Leopard Pro-614IT is well defined and indicates immediately that it is a computer made for gaming, but remains sober, avoiding too garish colors, which is appreciated by users who like a cleaner design. The outer shell of the laptop is made of black polycarbonate. Under the constructive aspect, this product does not disappoint, the materials are of good quality even if the laptop does not come close to the most expensive products on the market. Besides that, it features a SteelSeries keyboard with backlight and several special keys and shortcuts that can be very useful during gaming and standard use such as web surfing. The screen has a 15.6-inch diagonal and Full HD resolution. The TN panel offers a viewing angle of 170 degrees horizontally. Although it is not an IPS panel, it offers wider viewing angles and bright colors which a good balance between quality and convenience to the manufacturer for the player. On the top edge of the display, there is a an HD web cam, which could be ideal when the user needs to communicate online with other players while gaming.

The MSI GP72 6QF Leopard Pro-614IT is equipped with an Intel i7 processor 6700HQ, a fairly powerful solution. The processor is a quad core with Hyper-Threading, a base clock frequency of 2.6 GHz and a turbo clock of 3.5 GHz. The system comes with 16 GB of DDR4 2133 MHz RAM and a 1 TB HDD as well as a 256 GB SSD, in which the operating system has been installed, as storage devices. As for the graphic card, it features an Nvidia GeForce 960M with Maxwell architecture with 649 CUDA cores and base clock of 1096 MHz. The memory clock can reach up to 2500 MHz with a 128-bit bus for a bandwidth of 80 GB/s and the dedicated VRAM is a 2 GB GDDR5 memory. This graphics card should be able to run all current games smoothly, but giving up the maximum level of detail. The connections are located on the lateral edges of the notebook. On the right, there is the SD card reader, a USB port and the burner, while on the left there are the Ethernet port, two USB ports 3.0 and a USB 3.0 Type C, an HDMI port and a mini DisplayPort, a Kensington Lock slot and two jacks for headphones and microphone. As for connectivity, the MSI GP72 6QF Leopard Pro-614IT comes with free Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, a Gigabit Ethernet port and Bluetooth 4.0 and offers all types of connections commonly available.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
