Model: The MSI GE63 Raider RGB 8RF-039XES is a gaming laptop that is inspired by exotic sports cars and the RGB master race. The GE63/73 Raider RGB are given a new identity by the new lighting top cover design with Mystic Light and Gaming Mode optimization, which offers the fanciest illumination. Although the housing is identical to the old GE63VR, in this new version the two lines on the lid have a configurable RGB backlight now. A user can change its color, as well as set gradient effects and even generate animations synchronized or not with the laptop keyboard, which also has RGB backlight configurable on each key. Its Intel Core i7-8750H microprocessor at 2.2 GHz allows users to perform all kinds of advanced functions such as photo retouching, video editing and CAD design at the most demanding levels. This microprocessor can increase its speed to a maximum of 4.1 GHz with TurboBoost technology. It has 16 GB of DDR4 RAM at 2,400 MHz, a 256 GB SSD with the M.2 interface and a 1 TB hard drive at 7,200 RPM. With 8GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM, the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 mounted by the 8RE versions allows users an excellent gaming experience with high details in practically all current titles.
As for the display, this LCD panel features Full-HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) and LED backlight. Its very short response time of 3 ms is a great advantage for gamers according to MSI. It also has a matte finish and a good level of brightness, which is ideal for outdoor usage, an excellent level of contrast, and high color fidelity. The MSI True Color technology, partnered with Portrait Displays, Inc. spawned a new height for the display technology. Each panel will undergo thorough examinations and an extensive factory calibration process so that each color is presented with the utmost precision in details, guaranteeing exceptional color fidelity of close to 100 % sRGB. This laptop is also equipped with the latest MSI Cooler Boost 5 which excels as a dual thermal module, adopting dual Whirlwind Blade fans with 7 heat pipes and well-endowed 4 air vents in the revolutionary cooling module. It ends up intensively and efficiently driving exhaust heat out of the system, raising the cooling technology to the highest level of its kind. It is specially designed for generating greater performance and lower temperature. Almost all the ports of this model are concentrated on the left side of the laptop. In addition to the Kensington lock, users will find an RJ45 (Ethernet) connector, an HDMI output, a mini DisplayPort output, a USB 3.0 type A port, a USB 3.1 (Gen2) type C port, and headphone and microphone connectors here, while in the front of the right side users will find two additional USB-A type ports and the SD / MMC card reader. The power connector is the only port located on the back of this side.
