Littlebird Connected Care has announced the first ever, child wearable capable of allowing parents to monitor their young children's location and health remotely - the Littlebird Marlon. Continuous transmission of health and location data is enabled by T-Mobile LTE-M cellular connectivity.

Littlebird Connected Care has announced the Littlebird Marlon, a wearable for young children 1 to 6 years old. While most child trackers (such as this at Amazon) only have the ability to track location, the Littlebird Marlon adds health tracking to that. Popular parameters monitored by the Marlon include heart rate, sleep, and mood. This can be expanded in the future to include other health markers according to the company. AI is utilized by Littlebird's data platform to analyze collected data and to provide insight and alerts.

The wearable can run 24 hours on the rechargeable battery. To lower power consumption, the tracker uses T-Mobile's 4G LTE-M networks designed for Internet of Things and other low-power devices requiring constant internet connectivity. The LTE-M network also enables farther coverage than regular 4G LTE. Although the device has cellular connectivity, the Marlon only transmits data, so there's no way for parents to communicate with their children.

The Marlon is designed to survive water exposure up to 1 meter deep. To prevent loss, the wristband is also designed to make it difficult for children to remove the wearable.

Initial availability of the Littlebird Marlon is expected in early 2024 with widespread availability later in 2024.
