Limited-edition sci-fi watch celebrates Kojima Productions’ 10th anniversary
Kojima Productions has been operating independently of Konami since December 2015. While this means Hideo Kojima has left the Metal Gear series behind, he has already launched a new, unusual game series with Death Stranding. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Kojima Productions and Anicorn have now developed a limited-edition watch.
It was inspired by Ludens, the mascot of Kojima Productions. With a diameter of 39 millimeters and a thickness of 12.7 millimeters, the watch is relatively compact. The stainless steel case is finished in black and features gold design accents. The sleek, black dial is adorned with the Kojima Productions logo and "10th anniversary" lettering. The bezel bears the inscription "Beyond the strand into outer space."
The visible screws, the watch hands that glow blue in the dark, and the gold accents are designed to make the watch look like a science fiction artifact. The dial is protected from scratches by sapphire crystal, and the case is water-resistant to 5 ATM. The watch is based on an NH35-ATD movement, which is a modified Seiko NH35. The automatic mechanical movement winds itself automatically through the movements of the wrist and runs for up to 42 hours without movement.
Pricing and availability
The Kojima Productions x Anicron Ludens X Limited Edition watch will be available for pre-order in a few hours on Anicron’s online store, with delivery expected to begin in January 2027. The set, which includes the watch, a second strap, a metal print, and a bangle, costs $940, including free worldwide shipping. Pre-orders cannot be canceled. Anicorn will only accept orders through August 17.
