Lenovo releases new budget 14-inch laptop in multiple countries with over 17 hours battery life

Yesterday, we reported that Lenovo had begun selling IdeaPad Vibe laptops with AMD processors. As we discussed at the time, the IdeaPad Vibe 14AGP12 and IdeaPad Vibe 15AGP12 rely upon the Ryzen AI 5 430 and Ryzen AI 7 445 from AMD's Gorgon Point architecture.
Alternatively, Lenovo has also released the IdeaPad Vibe 14AKP12 in selected markets with the Ryzen AI 5 330 from the Krackan Point 2 architecture. It is worth noting that the Ryzen AI 5 330 performs worse than the Ryzen AI 5 430 in the IdeaPad Vibe 14AGP12 across our CPU and GPU benchmarks.
Also, Lenovo does not report any battery life advantages from choosing AMD's Krackan Point 2 platform over more powerful Gorgon Point alternatives. To that end, the IdeaPad Vibe 14AKP12 is said to match the IdeaPad Vibe 14AGP12 in 1080p local video playback tests with 17.7-hour runtimes.
For the time being, we have found active listings across Oceania, East Asia, Southeast Asia and North America. However, it seems that the IdeaPad Vibe 14AKP12 is unavailable in Europe for the time being. Lenovo's PSREF website confirms that the laptop is coming to Europe, though.
Setting that aside, the IdeaPad Vibe 14AKP12 starts at $799 in the US. In short, this is not the $699 pricing that Lenovo indicated during its IFA 2026 announcement to rival the MacBook Neo (curr. $689 on Amazon). On top of that, the IdeaPad Vibe 14AKP12 cannot be configured with 32 GB of RAM, an OLED display, or even the 120 Hz IPS alternative Lenovo mentions on PSREF.
Instead, the 14-inch laptop tops out at 16 GB of RAM and a 1200p IPS display with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 45% NTSC colour space coverage and 400 nits peak brightness. Meanwhile, Lenovo has priced the laptop at AUD 1,799, CAD 1,099, HKD and SGD 1,360 in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong and Singapore, respectively. Please see Lenovo's website for more details.
