The AMD-powered Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 may still be hard to find, but the more common Intel and GeForce variants will likely be more than enough for most users. Staples is currently holding a sale on the Core i5-powered IdeaPad/Yoga Slim 7 with a discrete GeForce MX350 GPU for just $630 USD or about $150 off the original asking price.
The deal is notable because the IdeaPad Slim 7 is a high-end metal chassis designed to compete directly against the likes of the flagship HP Spectre, Dell XPS, or Asus ZenBook series. It's slightly thicker and heavier than the even smaller Yoga 900 series, but it more than makes up for the size increase with its GeForce MX350 GPU which continues to be faster than any integrated Iris or Radeon Vega solution from Intel or AMD.
A main drawback that will likely stop users from pulling the trigger is the meager 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Though the M.2 SSD is upgradeable, RAM is soldered meaning owners will be stuck with 8 GB for the life of the system. If you mostly browse, stream, text, and game occasionally, however, then this shouldn't pose much of an issue.
