Originally $1600 at launch, the Lenovo Yoga C940 convertible is now $400 off at Best Buy until supplies last. The 2-in-1 was first made available exactly one year ago when Ice Lake was just beginning to appear on a select number of Ultrabooks. Note that this exact system was $1300 during its last sale.
The deal in question is notable because it involves a loaded Yoga C940 SKU equipped with the Core i7-1065G7 CPU, 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB NVMe SSD, and a 4K UHD touchscreen. This is in contrast to last week's IdeaPad Slim 7 deal that came with 8 GB of RAM only. Our own hands-on time with the configuration reveals a bright 500-nit display but with a mediocre battery life of just under 7.5 hours.
It's likely that retailers will be discounting even more 10th gen Ice Lake laptops in the weeks ahead to make room for 11th gen Tiger Lake. The Tiger Lake series is expected to offer an even greater leap in GPU performance while gains in raw CPU performance will be relatively minor. If none of those recently announced Lenovo laptops are of any interest to you, then the Yoga C940 should be more than enough.
