The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 10) is a stunning 14-inch laptop. Extremely well made yet still lightweight, with plenty of configuration options including mobile broadband, an excellent keyboard, great speakers and the 1080p webcam that's a necessity of modern working, it delivers on almost all fronts. The key disappointment is battery life, while some users may also find the wrist rest shallow and the trackpad on the small side. This is a premium-priced laptop, but if you can handle these issues, it's very much worth the outlay.

The new 10th generation ThinkPad showcases all of the family’s strengths: The superb and unique keyboard, the rock-solid construction, the minimalist but elegant styling, and the broad range of purchase options. Prices are on the steep side, but that’s nothing new for ThinkPads. The battery life may be more of a deal-breaker for you, but to be fair to Lenovo, that’s largely because Intel hasn’t managed to improve the efficiency of its processors to match improvements in performance. If you can look past the longevity, however, this laptop is a standout in virtually every other aspect.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G10
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G10 is the tenth generation of the X1 Carbon lineup. A lot has changed from the first model, but the ThinkPad X1 Carbon G10 isn't a huge update compared to the ThinkPad X1 Carbon G9. The focus is clearly on the interior and the new processors of Intel's Alder Lake P28 series. There is also the U15 series, which has a lower core count. It supports vPro Enterprise features and has 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and an FHD low-power screen. System performance is good, with no hiccups in day-to-day browser usage. Lenovo has used the same chassis design for at least two generations. Since the ThinkPad X1 Carbon G9 was a huge redesign, the X1 Carbon G10 is an update that maintains the old design. This is a mature enough case for everyday use. The X1 Carbon has a classic ThinkPad design which is true black.
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon 2022 offers Thunderbolt 4 along with legacy ports like USB A and HDMI, despite the compact chassis. The Intel Wireless AX211 (2x2) was added as a new option compared to its predecessor. Unlike the AX201, the AX211 supports the new standard WiFi 6E. The X1 Carbon 2022 offers most of the typical business features like dTPM 2.0, a Kensington lock slot, and a fingerprint reader. Normally, when it comes to laptop cameras, there's nothing to write home about, but with the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G10, the webcam is a big part of the conversation. Lenovo upped the resolution from 720p to 1080p, and the X1 Carbon G10 also uses an f/2.0 aperture, which should improve low-light performance. What's new is the Computer Vision feature of the webcam, "Human Presence Detection". The system can recognize if the user is moving away from the device and automatically lock the device. This feature is optional and can be disabled in the Lenovo Business Vantage app.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G10 is a fairly quiet system. When idling, the two small fans are completely silent. As for power, there is a 65W charger in the box with a USB-C plug, no other accessories. Lenovo didn't change the battery capacity and equipped it with the same 57Wh battery. The box and outer packaging are made entirely of paper for the first time. Lenovo has minimized plastic use in their packaging. In conclusion, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G10 is a laptop that is sturdy yet lightweight. It features good connectivity and very good input devices, which makes it a great build. Thus it is suitable for working professionals who require an everyday device to browse or work on the go.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.

As of 2004, the company was the largest laptop manufacturer in China and, after acquiring IBM's PC division in 2005, the fourth largest in the world. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company manufactures monitors, projectors, servers, etc, and specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, enterprise solutions and related services.
In 2016, the company ranked first in the world in computer sales. It still held it in 2023 with about 23% global market share. Important product lines are Thinkpad, Legion and Ideapad.
In 2011, it acquired a majority stake in Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Motorola Mobility was purchased, which gave Lenovo a boost in the smartphone market.
92.5%: This rating is indeed excellent. There are not many models that are rated better. This can definitely be seen as a purchase recommendation.
