The ExpertBook B9 doesn’t break the mold or excel beyond our wildest dreams, but it’s a reliable business laptop with long-lasting battery life, hyperfast SSD metrics and a phenomenal speaker system. It’s also bolstered by a tough build with hypnotic (yet minimalistic) aesthetic flairs alongside a solid display that goes above and beyond the average business laptop. But its performance was underwhelming, especially since it is one of the more expensive options among competitors yet fell behind in key categories, with its Handbrake metrics being the slowest even when pitted against laptops nearly $1,000 cheaper. If you don’t mind something larger and heavier, we highly recommend the Lenovo ThinkPad Z16, as it features superior performance and a better display at a lower cost. Otherwise, the ExpertBook B9 is great for those in need of a thin and light yet sturdy business laptop.

The Asus ExpertBook B9 is not without its charms. We like its thin and light yet durable magnesium alloy chassis and its impressive battery life. Portability, durability, and a long runtime should be high on anyone's list of priorities when shopping for a business laptop. However, the ExpertBook has relied on the same design for quite some time, and its 16:9 widescreen display and generic 720p webcam are definitely showing their age. Here's hoping Asus refreshes the system to restore it to the top ranks of business lightweights in 2024.

The ASUS ExpertBook B9400 is an excellent enterprise laptop given its productivity potential, suite of security features, and extreme portability. Just keep in mind about the RAM before ordering one as you won’t be able to upgrade it later on.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.

79.25%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
