Reviews for the Lenovo Tab Plus
Inexpensive tablets don't usually come with many surprising features. The same can't be said for the 11.5-inch Lenovo Tab Plus, as it will even make music fans happy with its powerful 26-watt sound system. Thanks to its eight JBL speakers and Dolby Atmos, the US$300 tablet boasts a better sound than considerably more expensive tablets such as the Apple iPad Pro.

When it comes to the mid-range tablet market, the marketing for a device is often hung around one tentpole feature, and for the Tab Plus, that’s its design. It does have a striking build, which is both sturdy and classy, and the utility of the kickstand can’t be impugned. However, the screen is relatively dim, the performance isn’t up to snuff and the speakers, though loud, don’t have the best detail. For a multimedia tablet, that’s an unfortunate set of drawbacks, but then there are more positives. The battery life is truly great, the 3.5mm headphone jack is of unexpectedly high quality and the software, while unexciting, is laidback. Taken as a whole, this is a tablet that achieves balance but never any great highs. If you are in the market, there are a lot of strong options at the price point, and if you want something powerful, or with a great display, there are better options available. However if flexibility around the home is what you want in a tablet, this is a solid choice.

The Lenovo Tab Plus stands out as a versatile and affordable tablet, perfect for entertainment and light daily tasks. Its video-watching-first features, such as the built-in kickstand and JBL-tuned speakers, make it a great choice for media consumption. At this price point, it’s probably the device I’d pick to watch movies or shows on. While performance isn’t top-tier, it offers excellent value for money, especially compared to more expensive rivals like the Pixel Tablet. As a result, it’s relatively easy to recommend.

Yes. If you're into tablets, and want one that offers fantastic value, and the best sound you can squeeze out of one – the Lenovo Tab Plus is absolutely worth it. Rarely have I seen tablets built so well, with such impressive sound and well-rounded features, that didn't cost over $500. In fact, no other tablet has such impressive sound; not even close. Only if you really need an iPad with iPadOS, for things like heavy productivity with professional apps (e.g. video editing with Final Cut Pro), you'll probably want to go with Apple's tablet, and miss out on the Lenovo Tab Plus' great sound. This here is best described as a family entertainment tablet after all, not a productivity powerhouse, even if it does have productivity features like a desktop mode.

The Lenovo Tab Plus carries a starting price of Rs 22,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant. The tablet is ideal for users looking for a multimedia consumption device with a crisp display and impressive speaker setup. The inclusion of a built-in kickstand improves portability and usability immensely, and the tablet consistently delivers great battery life. The niggles include its modest performance capabilities and bulky frame. The chief competitors of the tablet include the OnePlus Pad Go (review) and the Xiaomi Pad 6 (review). The former offers a slightly better display and a more lightweight form factor but doesn’t measure up in terms of audio. The Xiaomi Pad 6, despite being slightly pricier at Rs 24,999, outperforms the Lenovo Tab Plus in nearly every aspect. However, if your primary use case includes content consumption and you want a capable multimedia device, the Lenovo Tab Plus is a choice worth exploring.

If you want a performance-oriented tablet that can play the latest games or run apps like Adobe Photoshop without any hiccups, I would suggest going with the likes of Xiaomi Pad 6 (review), but if you want a large-screen device to watch movies or videos on, this is hands down one of the best budget Android tablets you can get your hands on.

To conclude, the Lenovo Tab Plus is a great tablet for consuming content at home or on the go. The design is different from your usual tablets and the built-in kickstand makes it quite easier to place it on your bed to watch your favourite movie or series without holding it. The display delivers good results, but the audio will surely bring any budget Bluetooth speaker to shame with its output. That said, the tablet still has some shortcomings and the old Helio G99 SoC can be blamed for this. A slightly beefier chipset could have been better as it would have provided a complete package to the users. That said, the tablet still faces much competition in this price segment.

Priced at Rs 22,999 (8GB RAM + 256GB storage), the Lenovo Tab Plus offers a well-rounded multimedia experience. Its combination of sleek design, high-quality audio and impressive battery life makes it a competitive contender in the tablet market, especially for the entertainment segment. For those looking for a utility focused tablet with remarkable sound quality, the Lenovo Tab Plus can be an option to be considered. Performance is not its forte, and therefore, look otherwise if that is essential.

Costing Rs 22,999, the Lenovo Tab Plus has a lot going on for it. Sure it has a few areas where it could have been better - display brightness primarily and probably a slightly beefier chipset. Yet, it has a lot going on for it. In particular I like how well-suited it is for watching movies due to its kick-stand and the speakers. It is like a perfect media consumption device. So, if you are out looking for a tablet for your regular day-to-day use - watching lots of videos, or doing some family video calls from the kitchen and so on and so forth - I feel the Lenovo Tab Plus makes a lot of sense.

If you’re after a tablet that can entertain while you’re on the move and also free up your hands at home, the Lenovo Tab Plus ticks lots of boxes. It’s just as potent as a OnePlus Pad Go, only in a more fun-friendly form factor and with much louder speakers. And unlike the Pixel Tablet, it doesn’t have a silly asking price. This isn’t a performance powerhouse by any means, and Lenovo’s ambient mode isn’t nearly as useful as Google’s own, or that of an Amazon Echo Show. Sound simply isn’t a match for a quality Bluetooth speaker, either.

This is a standard display format for tablet computers or small convertibles. You see more on the screen than on a smartphone but you can't use big resolutions well. On the other hand, mobility is not a problem.

As of 2004, the company was the largest laptop manufacturer in China and, after acquiring IBM's PC division in 2005, the fourth largest in the world. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company manufactures monitors, projectors, servers, etc, and specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, enterprise solutions and related services.
In 2016, the company ranked first in the world in computer sales. It still held it in 2023 with about 23% global market share. Important product lines are Thinkpad, Legion and Ideapad.
In 2011, it acquired a majority stake in Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Motorola Mobility was purchased, which gave Lenovo a boost in the smartphone market.
79.29%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
