Series: Lenovo has taken a very wise step in refreshing its existing Legion lineup with mobile Intel 9th generation processors as well as the GTX Turing graphics processing units. The Lenovo Legion Y540 in particular is all gunned up with a GTX 1650 unit in tandem with the need for upkeep of technology through the introduction of the 9th generation quad-cores. Those who are seeking for a decent gaming laptop while balancing on a thread of strict budget will one way or another find a kindred spirit in the updated version of the Lenovo Legion Y540.

Just like any other existing gaming laptop in the scene, the Lenovo Legion Y540 comes equipped with core specifications which are designed to cater the standard clientele’s gaming needs. Thanks to the integration of Intel 9th generation processors in the Lenovo Legion Y540 model, performance rate is attested to demonstrate just as well as desktop computers. Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
