Lenovo Googlebook 15 specs leak: Intel Core Ultra 5, 120Hz OLED display, and facial auth

Last month, Digital Citizen published a couple of images of the Lenovo Googlebook 15, detailing its physical chassis and exterior components. The initial leak revealed a device with explicit Googlebook branding on the lid, a four-speaker array tuned for Dolby Atmos, a physical privacy shutter covering the webcam, and a dedicated "G" key located on the bottom row of the keyboard layout. Now, a new leak gives us a look at the internals of Lenovo's Android-based laptop.
According to MacObserver, the Lenovo Googlebook 15 runs on an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor. Memory configurations consist of either 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM, while internal storage options scale up to 512GB. This hardware architecture exceeds Google's existing Chromebook Plus baseline requirements, shifting the target toward users who need sustained performance for local compute tasks and multi-threaded applications.
Visual output is handled by a 15.3-inch OLED touchscreen display. The panel has a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness rating of 500 nits. Internal power is supplied by a 70-watt-hour battery.
The laptop introduces several hardware components designed for the Googlebook ecosystem. User authentication uses both a traditional power-button fingerprint scanner and a dedicated "Google facial authentication" hardware array.
The chassis incorporates a haptic glass trackpad, alongside a customizable multicolored LED strip mounted on the top cover, designated in the documentation as a "glowbar." The physical port selection includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB Type-A port, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm combination headphone and microphone jack.
Lenovo and Google have not released official pricing or availability timelines for the device. However, the listed hardware components indicate that the product will be priced within the upper tier of the laptop market, moving away from the budget-focused pricing structure typical of earlier ChromeOS devices.
