Leakers reveal DJI Air 3S drone in test flight with rumoured 1-inch type camera sensor
The DJI Air 3S has received another outing, shortly after early information about the company releasing a Mavic 4 drone appeared online. To recap, this is not the first time that a putative Air 3S has been spotted. In fact, images of the Air 3 (curr. $1,549 on Amazon) successor have leaked a few times, most recently at the end of last month.
This time, the Air 3S has been captured during an alleged test fight, evidence of which we have embedded below. Ultimately, the unreleased drone closely resembles its predecessor. For example, DJI has installed two cameras again for photography and videography purposes. Additionally, the drone appears to have four cameras, two on its front and two on its rear, for automatically avoiding obstacles.
However, @Quadro_News claims that DJI is planning to distinguish the Air 3S from the older Air 3 by including a new primary camera. Specifically, the leaker believes that the Air 3S will feature a 1-inch type sensor, which would be a substantial upgrade over the 1/1.3-inch equivalent inside the Air 3. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown for now, such as a release date or launch pricing.
