Leaker shares release dates for DJI Neo pocket-sized drone and DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro action camera
Plenty of information about forthcoming DJI products has leaked in the last few weeks. Until recently, the company had been assumed to have at least two new drones in advanced stages of development.
However, it subsequently turned out that a HoverAIR X1 (curr. $349 on Amazon) alternative may actually launch first. For reference, details about the DJI Air 3S, Mavic 4 and Neo drones have emerged this summer, as have equivalent information about new action cameras.
Based on a new leak shared by @Quadro_News, only two of those will arrive anytime soon. Specifically, the DJI Neo is expected to launch first with Fly More Combo and Motion Fly More Combo accessory packages in tow. Allegedly, the new drone will debut on August 20, which is also likely the day when DJI opens pre-orders.
By contrast, @Quadro_News asserts that DJI has no intention of unveiling the Air 3S anytime soon, nor do they even mention the Mavic 4 series. Instead, it appears DJI will follow the Neo with the Osmo Action 5 Pro, an action camera that was pictured late last month. Currently, the Osmo Action 5 Pro is anticipated to debut on August 28 with Standard and Adventure Combo packages; pricing for DJI's next action camera has not leaked yet, though.
