Leaked NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti benchmarks suggest superiority over the RTX 2080 SUPER at under 60% of the price
The launch of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is approaching, with NVIDIA expected to unveil its latest Ampere card on December 2. Details about the upcoming card have leaked multiple times, including from Inno3D. While NVIDIA is yet to comment on the RTX 3060 Ti, Inno3D included the name as a selectable filter on its website. The company has since removed any reference to the RTX 3060 Ti, but Videocardz has got its hands on benchmark data. From what we can tell, the data has been pulled from NVIDIA's press materials for the RTX 3060 Ti.
According to the data, the RTX 3060 Ti outscores the RTX 2060 SUPER by 35% to 54% in games like Doom Eternal, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn. Similarly, the Ampere card will offer up to 80% better performance than the RTX 2060 SUPER in Blender and Vray.

NVIDIA achieved these results with an Intel Core i9-10900K running at stock clocks. RAM and motherboard details are unknown, but NVIDIA benchmarked all games at maximum graphics settings in 1440p.
The RTX 3060 Ti has the better of the RTX 2080 SUPER in most games and professional applications, too. The two cards are neck and neck in Gears of War 5 and Watch Dogs Legion, but the RTX 3060 Ti opens a healthy lead over the RTX 2080 SUPER in Blender, Minecraft and Wolfenstein Youngblood.
The RTX 3060 Ti is expected to arrive for around US$400, which would make it nearly US$300 cheaper than the launch price of the RTX 2080 SUPER. Add-in board (AIB) partners will be releasing custom versions of the RTX 3060 Ti, too.
