Leak reveals compact full-frame camera with 7K RAW video, shortly before launch

The Canon EOS R6 V is expected to be officially unveiled on Wednesday, June 13. Rumors have already indicated that the camera will come onto the market for a price of around €2,549, Canon Rumors has now been able to publish high-resolution product images and a full spec sheet ahead of the launch.
At first glance, the Canon EOS R6 V looks very similar to the EOS R50 V($569 on Amazon), although the EOS R6 V is slightly larger. However, the EOS R6 V is still relatively compact by full-frame standards. The camera was primarily developed for videographers and therefore has an integrated fan that cools the sensor during longer video recordings. However, a dedicated slider can also activate a photo mode. The camera body houses seven function buttons, a mode dial and a zoom control directly in front of the shutter release - practical for power zoom lenses.
The 3-inch touchscreen with 1.62 million pixels can be folded out and rotated by 180 degrees, making it suitable for vlogging and selfies. However, Canon has dispensed with an electronic viewfinder on the EOS R6 V. Instead, there is a USB-C port (10 Gbit/s), which can be used to charge the camera, as well as HDMI and two CFexpress slots.
At the heart of the camera is a 32.5 megapixel full-frame sensor in 3:2 format, which is stabilized to enable up to 7.5 f-stops longer exposure times without a tripod. In conjunction with a Canon Digic X processor, 7K RAW ProRes videos can be recorded on an external recorder, while 7K open-gate videos can also be recorded on a memory card. Canon is said to introduce a 20 - 50 mm f/4 power zoom lens together with the camera.
