Kingdom Come: Deliverance has received a next-gen update for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, alongside a limited-time discount on its complete Royal Edition on the PlayStation Store. The update focuses on performance and technical improvements, making it an opportune time for new and returning players to jump in.

The next-gen 60 FPS update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which enables native performance improvements on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, went live on February 13, 2026, when Warhorse Studios released the patch as a “shadow drop.” The 60 FPS update for the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance game is free for everyone who already owns the game. Moreover, if you want to try it out, the title is currently available on the PlayStation Store at a heavily discounted price.

The Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition, which usually sells for $39.99, is currently available for $7.99 on the PlayStation Store. Despite the 60 FPS patch releasing two days ago, the game already has over 36,000 ratings with an average score of 4.1 out of five stars.

Keep in mind that the version of the game on sale is not the standard edition but the complete Gold or Ultimate bundle, which includes all major DLCs such as Treasures of the Past, From the Ashes, The Amorous Adventures of Sir Hans Capon, and Band of Bastards. It also includes A Woman’s Lot, a standalone DLC in which you play as Theresa in a separate questline.

Beyond the pricing, the next-gen update brings several meaningful improvements. The most notable upgrade is support for up to 60 FPS, a significant improvement over the 30 FPS performance seen on last-generation consoles. The update also introduces higher rendering resolutions with 4K upscaling, typically rendering at a higher base resolution such as 1440p before scaling. Visual quality has also been enhanced with PC Ultra-style settings, bringing improved textures, models, and graphical effects that were previously exclusive to the PC version.

Warhorse Studios says the update improves asset quality with sharper textures and better model detail, while also optimizing performance in cities, combat, and crowded scenes for consistent 60 FPS gameplay. The studio has also worked on reducing stutter and pop-in.

The update also adds platform-level conveniences, including cross-generation save transfers that allow players to continue their PS4 or Xbox One save files on current-generation consoles. Additionally, optional Deep Silver account integration has been introduced for feature linking and updates.
