Epic Games Store follows award winners with quieter free games lineup for late February 2026

Epic Games Store has revealed the penultimate PC free games for February 2026, and this time, the lineup isn’t as exciting as the current one. For reference, the storefront is currently giving away Nobody Wants to Die and The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark, two multi-award winners.
For the next batch, Epic Games Store has lined up Return to Ash as one of the freebies. This upcoming free game is a narrative-driven visual novel, and it’s centered on emotional storytelling. Players get to fill the shoes of Ashleigh and get tasked to build relationships with characters while facing trials.
There are choice-based dialogues that can change the direction of the narrative. That is, there are different endings, and it all depends on the choices that players make. The atmospheric art style is another key highlight of this upcoming Epic Games Store free game, but the gameplay is a bit on the shorter end. It can be finished within 2 hours.
Return to Ash retails for $5.99, but from February 19 to February 26, 2026, it will be available as a free game on Epic Games Store. The second freebie is a content pack for Stalcraft: X, a free-to-play open-world multiplayer. It’s set in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, and it stands out for blending Minecraft-style crafting with Stalker-inspired survival elements (Stalker 2 for PS5 curr. $50.99 on Amazon).
The starter pack that Epic Games Store will offer has many in-game items. These will help new players get started. Like Return to Ash, this content pack will be available from February 19 to February 26. Check out the videos below to learn more about the upcoming freebies.
