Kingdel NC980: A Mini-PC with a Core i7 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU for US$460
There are many Mini-PCs on the market, including older units like the Intel Hades Canyon. Few have dedicated GPUs though, which is one of the reasons why the Kingdel NC980 has caught our attention. The company sells through many retailers, including Amazon, but its unit with a dedicated GPU appears to only be available on AliExpress at the time of writing.
The unit comes in a variety of configurations from US$460 upwards. Please note that you do not get any RAM or storage at this price. The unit is compatible with M.2 2280 drives and LPDDR4 RAM and apparently has space for a 2.5-inch HDD somewhere. All models come with an Intel Core i7-7820HK and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU. The latter is a GDDR5 variant that appears to be upgradable.
In terms of ports, Kingdel has included eight USB Type-A connections, two Wi-Fi antennas, three video outputs and two Ethernet ports. There is also a USB Type-C port and an optical audio port, along with dedicated headphone and microphone connections. According to Kingdel, the machine has Gigabit Ethernet but only 802.11 n Wi-Fi.
The Kingdel NC980 measures 270 x 240 x 65 mm. The unit is not fanless as many Mini-PCs are, although its aluminium chassis should wick away some heat.
