JBL Japan has announced the JBL Tune 730BT wireless over-ear headphones, following their launch in September in the UK. The headphones have an MSRP of 13,200 yen (~$90) in black, blue, or white.
The Bluetooth 6.0 headphones support pairing with up to two devices simultaneously using LE Audio, which utilizes the newer LC3 audio codec designed for improved audio quality and lower power usage versus the standard SBC codec. Their 40 mm Pure Bass drivers are designed to reproduce punchy low-end bass, according to JBL. The headphones have a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz with a 97 dB maximum SPL at 1 kHz.
As an entry-level model, the 730BT does not come with active noise cancellation, but instead relies on its over-ear design and 21 mm (0.83 in.) thick earpads to isolate background noise. However, they do use two beamforming microphones to cancel background noise during calls.
The battery is rated to run for up to 76 hours, and five hours of runtime can be added with five minutes of fast charging, according to JBL. The headphones weigh 218 g (7.7 oz.).
Readers in Japan can look for the JBL 730BT to arrive in the JBL store on Amazon Japan on November 13, 2025. The headphones will likely be launched in America, too, so readers there can look for them in the JBL store on Amazon US. JBL also makes some great earbuds, like the recently reviewed JBL Tour Pro 3 (sold here on Amazon US).
